City of Campbell River does a very poor job of maintaining this precious land as a park. The access road go from wide to narrow without warning signs. Yet big RVs use it to visit the RV Park. Road surface has many potholes. The side gravel soakers have many big pot holes in need of grading. There is no playground 30km sign leaving the park. Cars & motorbike turn at the last parking area then boomerang out of it at very high speed making speed bumps before the playground and RV Park neccessary. Also needed at these spots are crosswalks with flashing lights. Some day if the city doesn't widen the access road a vehicle will catch the curb mount the sidewalk & kill a pedestrian or run over a family with little children trying to cross the road at the playground or RV park to go walk their dog. This is the most frequented park in the city, yet it at time looks so worn down & unsafe.
Beautiful spot for hot summer nights. Catch a sunset while walking dogs (or kids!) and viewing all the Tyee Club fisher-people on their boats!
Great place for walking dogs. Timeline accessibility for those with disabilities is not recommended but the rest of the park is a joy and accessible
There was so many different kinds of birds today, alot of turkey vultures
A cool park. Come here and chill with your dog and stuff. I love it. What? You think you're better than this park? Don't come then.
