Booked direct and got a price break! Rooms very clean and manager/owner was very helpful and pleasant. Views from the balcony included three cruise ships passing by for evening entertainment. Great spot to relax after a long drive. Highly recommend.

One of the best motels we've been at in our visit to the island. The lady at the reception is very lovely and the view is a great surprise.
It is an older motel but a private Motel so not part of a chain. You should beware of that when you choose where to stay. they have done a good job at trying to maintain it but there are certain things that are not brand new. Paying $1 per coffee K-cup was kind of weird but I guess somebody has to pay for it. on one side there was the view of the water which was great and on the other side there was the view/hammering of the construction happening just meters from my door on the old island highway. The construction isn't their fault at all. My luck of the draw. For someone who's looking for a budget accommodation this place is perfect. And the manager was very friendly and helpful she was great.
Just stayed here last weekend for the first time and it certainly won't be my last!! Denise goes above and beyond to make sure the guests are comfortable. Case in point I was in town for a family wedding and my cousins dress had a few wrinkles...I inquired after a dryer to throw it into and Denise took it and made sure it looked PERFECT for later that day. The rooms are spacious, clean with kitchen and private bedroom. Every room has their own balcony where I was able to enjoy the view and have my tea in the morning. I love the warmth in which we were welcomed and the few chuckles shared. There was construction going on outside on the roadway and I felt awful for Denise having to endure complaints about the noise..... people, that was a little out of her control!! I thank the Above Tide for a memorable stay and would recommend this Motel to all my friends.
